Tanning and Body Art/Piercing Program

The goal of the tanning and body art/piercing program is to prevent the spread of disease and blood-borne pathogens. The health department conducts inspections of these facilities to assure proper compliance with the Illinois Tanning Facilities Code and Illinois Body Art/Piercing Code. The health department investigates complaints of these facilities. Codes can be found below:
