Infectious Disease Reporting

Infectious diseases continue to pose a significant threat to public health and mortality. The CD program provides investigation and follow-up of mandated communicable diseases reported by medical providers. These diseases are mandated to be reported because they are considered to be contagious, infectious, communicable and dangerous to the public health.

This department also partners with Bureau and Putnam County Environmental Health staff when needed to investigate outbreaks, such as food or water borne illnesses.
