Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program: This screening program promotes the awareness and education of breast and cervical health. Eligible women receive no-cost mammograms and Pap tests. Call 815-872-5091, ext. 218 or email lweidner@bchealthdepartment.org

Blood Draws:  Screening Labs done on the third Thursday of each month by appointment only.  Call 815-872-5091, ext. 218 to make an appointment.

Case Management Services: Some families and individuals need assistance with services in addition to healthcare. Fairs, Festivals & Community Celebrations (Food Licensing Requirements): If your organization is planning a special event where food will be provided to the community, you may be subject to licensing and inspections by our Department. Flu Shots: Available in the fall of the year, flu shots can make a difference in keeping you healthy. Call 815-872-5091, ext. 210 for more information.

Food Coupons: Pregnant women can obtain WIC coupons for themselves or their infants/children by becoming certified with the WIC program. Call 815-879-0341 for eligibility information.

HIV Antibody Testing: Anonymous, testing of HIV (AIDS) virus available by calling 815-872-5091, ext. 218 for an appointment.  There is a $5.00 charge.

 

Home Visits: Visits by a nurse, social worker or other health care professional are available. Prenatal and newborn care, growth and development to age 1, assistance for HIV infected individuals, home care and more can be obtained by calling 815-879-0341, ext. 219

Lead Screening: Lead screening for children (ages 6 mo. to 6 yrs.) is available through our Maternal/Child Health clinics. Nuisance Complaints: Our environmental health personnel will respond to nuisance complaints in unincorporated areas. Call 815-872-5091, ext. 216, for your nuisance complaints.
