Food Handler Certification Class
The Food Handler Certificate is required for food workers who handle/prepare/touch food or food contact surfaces that do not have their Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate. This would even include bartenders that serve pizza and handle ice, as well as dishwashers. This Food Handlers Certificate lasts for three (3) years.
The certificates earned at these certification courses will be required to be presented to Health Department Personnel during inspections.
Each course will be taught in the Conference Room at the Marshall County Health Department located at 319 Sixth Street in Lacon.
Cost for the course is $10.00.
The first twenty (20) people to reserve a spot will be able to attend. Please phone in your reservation for the course. Upon completion of the course, a certificate will be given to each attendee and will meet the requirements for the Food Handler Certificate Course.
