BP Power Youth Coalition
BP (Bureau/Putnam) Power
BP Power is a youth coalition that exists to raise awareness of drug and alcohol abuse led by anti-substance abuse teen advocates and leaders in partnership with CPASA for fellow teens in Bureau and Putnam counties.
Why should YOU join BP Power?
Being a part of BP Power will allow you to learn how to fight substance abuse issues in your community, work on projects/events in efforts to increase the awareness of substance abuse, meet new people with similar interests, earn community service hours, & make a difference in your community and school! Each active member of BP Power is also given the opportunity to participate in a 5-day youth leadership conference called The Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute (CGTI) sponsored by the Illinois Alcoholism & Drug Dependence Association. Formerly known as the Illinois Teen Institute, this conference is an award-winning program that offers opportunities for teens around the state to learn about leadership, healthy choices, and working with others to create better communities.
Upcoming BP Power Meetings and Events
BP Power meets the third Monday of every month from 6:00pm - 7:00pm in the Bureau County Health Department Conference Room with students who want to make a positive change and support leading a substance free life.
